Compassion

Around us, there’s bound to be

One man, two men, more men in misery

Few of us care much for them,

So busy? Man please Spare some time.

Around us, there’s bound to be

One man two men more men in Pains

Not a caring glance we spare for them,

We leave them there to waste like dung.

Around us still there’s bound to be

One man two men more men with tears

Who surely deserve some moment of grace

Could we but spare some time,

And make them feel belonged again

Around us I know there’s bound to be

One man two men more men with Love

Who still could and would go out to help

These men out there without a Coat.

Around us still there’s bound to be

Oceans of Crowd groping in the dark

Millions our hands can’t touch or reach

A silent prayer to God for them

Brings them that help our hands can’t give.

Around us yes there surely is

Not one nor two but a million might

Whose voices now does heaven call

For all those souls too lost to feel,

Not long from now they’ll get their recompense!
